Born in Lansing Michigan to a Catholic family, with two brothers. In 1968 Len married his wife Ginny and they have two daughters. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachler of Science degree. After graduation, he moved to Iron Mountain Michigan, then South Milwaukee Wisconsin, and later to La Porte Indiana. In 1980 Len moved his family to Longview Texas to oversee the construction of a forge plant. He worked at that plant for 21 years. He did post graduate work at University of Texas at Tyler. In 2002 he began his diaconate formation for the diocese of Tyler Texas through the University of Dallas. While working on his formation he developed a County Groundwater Conservation District. He was ordained in 2006 by his Texas Bishop, Most Reverend Alvaro Corrada SJ, in Rochester Hills Michigan allowing his ailing brother to witness. . After 10 years managing the groundwater district and serving the diocese of East Texas Len and his wife retired and moved to Ludington in 2014. Their daughters live in Colorado and Washington State. They have 4 grandchildren.
Deacon Len has worked prison ministry, radio ministry, facilitated RCIA programs, Deacon Candidate formation, and contemplative prayer since his ordination. Len has been endorsed as an Advocate for the Tribunal in marriage cases.
